Insulating Exterior Walls

If your home is seriously lacking insulation in its walls, there’s good news. Injection foam insulation offers a host of benefits and the installation process has been fine-tuned so that you don’t have to pay extensive fees to fix damage from the job. Learn more about injection foam insulation’s advantages and the installation process it requires.

How does injection foam insulation measure up?

Compared to other types of retrofit insulation, injection foam is like the Lebron James of the NBA. It works harder and outperforms the other players. Here’s how:

  • It has a higher R-value.
  • It helps lowers energy costs.
  • It’s quieter, providing an insulating value that keeps noise out of the home.
  • It’s health-promoting, keeping pollutants from entering the home.
  • It’s highly rated for fire safety.
  • It’s eco-friendly, helping your home reduce its consumption of natural resources and decrease greenhouse gas emissions.
  • It gets into cracks and crevices and around pipes, wires and other obstacles.
  • It protects your home from costly leaks.

What’s the installation process like?

Before you go thinking that a wall insulation retrofit job means tearing down walls and destroying siding or brick, think again. Our innovative installation technique bypasses all of that. Instead, the proprietary process leaves your home intact. If your home has a wood or siding exterior, here’s what we’ll do:

  • Mix the foam insulation and get it ready to be pumped into the home via the applicator hose.
  • Remove slats of siding and drill tiny holes in the wall cavity so that we can access the space between the studs, the exterior surface and the interior wall.
  • The applicator hose is inserted into the holes while the foam is continuously injected into the wall cavity. No matter what’s lodged in the walls, such as electrical wires or plumbing pipes, the injection foam will flow around it, filling all of the square footage and forming a tight seal.
  • The foam will set in under 60 seconds to form a solid thermal barrier within the wall cavity – no need to fear that the insulation will settle over time.
  • Once the walls are filled with the foam, we’ll patch the holes and restore the siding – with little or no cosmetic changes to your home.

We can also seamlessly install injection foam in homes with brick, stone, stucco, block or shingle exteriors too. Call USA Insulation today for a free in-home consultation.
